Sophie was adopted from the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in February of 2017. She had been diagnosed as diabetic in November of 2016. In July of 2018, she received the diagnosis of Acromegaly and had surgery for this in September. She is recovering from her surgery well and learning about how life is different when you don't have to struggle with unregulated blood glucose levels and a ravenous appetite. Throughout this whole journey, she has been a sweet, uncomplaining girl who steals the hearts of all her doctors and others she meets.
