A little about me...
China came to me as a tiny white kitten from a shelter. Many years before, I'd gone to pick out a kitten and out of all the kittens there, just one batted at my nose when I picked him up. Of course he came home! China did the same thing so I knew she was the special one for me.(she never did it again though. She knew what to do to get out of that cage and into my heart!) In March of 2013 she had lost so much weight and was drinking more water than my 60lb dog. That's when I found out she was diabetic and our journey started. I was blessed to find the FDMB and learned from other sugarcat owners how to treat her and keep her as healthy as possible. She ended up being the most tightly controlled cat for several years before she passed on Christmas Eve morning of 2018 from cancer nobody knew she had. Now she's my angel kitty, watching over me from above. I still miss her daily though and just walking by the diabetes supplies at WalMart reminds me of all we went through together. All the shots, the tests, the early mornings and the late nights. If I could have her back, I'd do it all over again though. If you've never been owned by a sugarcat, you don't know what you're missing!
