A little about me...
Cootie (aka Cootie Bug) was 16 years old when she came to live with me after living with my parents for many years. She was in love with my dad and was totally a "daddy's girl", but she accepted me as a reasonable substitute. Cootie had the sweetest disposition and always took her insulin shots like a champ even while she struggled with multiple health issues. And she was fortunate to go into remission. When a diagnosis of hypothyroidism following radioactive iodine therapy kicked her out of remission status, she managed to go OTJ for a second time. Our time together was just not long enough before Cootie went to the Rainbow Bridge a year and a half later. My sweet little Cootie Bug will hold a special place in my heart forever!
