A little about me...
Lexy is my special 13 yr old cat that has just needed a lot of love and attention, away from veterinarians who think they can't live a quality life with a disease us humans do. She has been diabetic 3 yrs, and ever since I knew it and took her to the vet, her brother has been by her side every day, every test and shot time. He really cares about her. They are bonded, both rescues and with physical problems. Lexy is a high dose kitty who can go from what "I" say is low of 7 Units up to 18 or down the ladder and up again. She has a playpen where the cube in the photo is. That cube is almost as old as her, and she has torn it up and I've fixed it over and over. Her brother Peanut likes to go in and help her take a bath after eating a meal from her feeder. We are on feeder #4 since this all started. She attacked the first few, and then we had a great one, and it recently joined the rest. Finally finding one like it, we are now using a petmate (lifesaving feeder) which has 3 settings for food and 1 for close no food. Lexy has a new one that we hope will work for the long run. She seems not to attack this one because it's not as deep and she can get to the food easier. She's my baby and will always be a very special cat, I think any of us who have diabetics understand they are special, so please if you can to support the cause, Give Lexy a vote so we can keep her in the calendar another year. We don't have many people in her life who can vote, but DCIN is such a great cause, it's always something we look forward to when this season comes around. Thank you for all your support.
