Pet’s Story or Bio
Mike and Ike were brothers who were rescued from a high kill shelter in NC by Diamond Dogs Rescue, Inc. It was our hope that, with rescue, these precious boys would begin a new journey in their life after having been surrendered to a shelter as only young pups! But, that was not to be for Ike. His brother was adopted and Ike was sent to a foster home while we waited for his family to find him as well. However, within only days Ike became very sick and from there it was test after test, struggle after struggle and vet appointment after vet appointment. We were all determined to see this beautiful, sweet, soulful baby boy get better and make it. Our rescue and his wonderful foster family put their hearts and souls into his care and prayed for his recovery. But, no amount of love, care or money was going to change the ending of this story- This world was not meant for someone as beautiful as Ike! Sadly not every rescue has a happy ending but we hope that in heaven Ike is running and playing and healthy as it should be for puppies like him!
