Rules

Entering the contest:

Each entry shall only have one dog, if participants have more than one dog, additional (separate) entries may be submitted.
Only dogs are permitted in the contest - no other animals, including cats! (sorry cat friends!)
Entry into the contest does not guarantee a position on the design. The top 10 dogs at the end of the contest will receive a spot on the design for their dog.
A donation to Dog Friendly KW is required to enter the contest, and to purchase votes for the participating dogs. Dog Friendly KW is a non-profit organization, and your funds will contribute to our ongoing commitment to providing as much free programming in the community as possible.
Dog Friendly KW is not a registered charity, and as such, charitable receipts are not available for donations made throughout the contest.
There are no geographic restrictions for this contest, however, merchandise is only sold in-person in Kitchener at events, therefore, if you live outside of the Waterloo Region, there is no shipping or delivery of merch available at this time.

What happens if I win?

The photo submitted for the competition is the photo that will be used by the designer for those who win the contest. Please submit an image that shows your dog’s entire body.
Winners will not have the opportunity to provide feedback or input on the designs. Merch mock-ups with the design will be distributed to contest winners and more broadly in the community upon completion.
Winners will receive 1 free tote bag with the design as a thank you for their participation in the contest. Tote bags must be picked up at the Paw-liday Festival in Downtown Kitchener on November 30th. Pick-up, shipping and delivery are not available.
Final designs are the property of Dog Friendly KW and will not be distributed to participant winners. The design will only be available on Dog Friendly KW merchandise.
Official merchandise with the new design will be available for sale at the Paw-liday Festival on November 30th, 2024 in Downtown Kitchener.
While the visual above shows the design in a rainbow print, future merchandise will be printed in neutral colours (black or white) and special variants may be printed at a later time
