I should be the Dog of the Year because…
I’m a hound who was abandoned in the hunting fields of North Carolina. I had to rely on my keen scent and survival skills for two years until I was rescued by George and Paulette and found my forever home in Southport. I get to snuggle in bed with my humans and travel with them to so many great smelling places! I just love people and kiss them whenever I can. But when it comes to snakes in my yard, I can be a tough girl who won’t back down. Recently I nearly lost my life in a fight with a water moccasin but I survived and the snake didn’t! So for now I’m enjoying my cozy naps on the coach at home. A vote for me is a vote for a strong survivor!! Hugs and kisses from Maddie Pi.
