Luke's calm, patient demeanor has quietly but surely changed
the way I take on the world. His readiness to alert to door knocks,
name call, phone ringing and the fire alarm helps me feel secure in my own home. His daily alert to oncoming cyclist, runners, and walkers has ensured that I'm out of the way while in nearby woods.

When my community was evacuated due to a wildfire, Luke's non-plussed demeanor helped me remain calm. When we had to sleep in the car overnight at a nearby shelter, he rolled over and went to sleep next to me. Because he was calm, I felt I could handle being alone overnight in my car. Luke is with me all the time now. I feel much more confident when he is with me.
