Your Dog's Story or Bio
Tesla was born 7/11/18 and raised as a Guide Dog for the Blind, but career changed to a hearing dog. She was ready to serve, however, the pandemic prohibited her from completing her training with her person. She was placed with me on October 11, 2021, probably the happiest day of my life. I had lost my Hearing Dog, Glitter, 11 months before. I recognized Teslas' good nature right away and with permission from DBL, she was made into a Therapy Dog, certified by SLO Dogs Caring Canines and ATD. We visit residential care facilities, memory care facilities, Cal Poly State University, Cuesta College, the SLO Airport (SBPaws), children's centers and participate in Reading to Rover. Tesla alerts for the oven timer, smoke detectors, doorbell, door knock, landline, cell phone and a knock on the side of my RV. She has numerous AKC certificates.
