Your Dog's Story or Bio
Fennel started out as a Guide Dog for the Blind. She went all the way through the program. Unfortunately she was found to have a Stargart marker, prohibiting her to fulfill her training as a Guide Dog for the Blind. Not unfortunately for me! I am hard of hearing. I applied to Dogs for Better Lives in September of 2022. At the time I was told that I would get a dog in about 3 years. I am patient! In June of 2023 I got an email that Dogs for Better Lives has a dog for me! Do I want her? Yes, yes, yes. My husband and I were so excited. Two weeks later I began my weeklong training. I loved Fennel right from the start. I adopted her June 23, 2023! She has changed my life! I have since been in touch with her puppy raiser, my angel.
