Your Dog's Story or Bio
Roux was rescued from a shelter in Visalia, CA by DBL. He was placed with me as a Hearing Assistance Dog in April 2016. For 9 years we’ve been a strong team. Having Roux decreased my anxiety at home - he wakes me up for my alarm, gets me for the oven timer (I love to bake) and gets me when my husband calls me. He always has a smile on his face when he does his sound work, except for the alarm at 4:30am! We went through the Archie Creek Fire together in 2020, we evacuated to a friend’s house for ten days and his dedication and hard work never wavered. He’s an amazing, generous and loving soul. The beach is his favorite getaway - he runs and leaps with pure joy.
