Your Pet's Story or Bio

Last August, Steve chose us at the Indianapolis Humane Society. Amidst all the other barking/howling/jumping wannabees, he didn’t bark but just walked slowly up to the caging and gave a lick, then went back to his cot to chill. We immediately adopted him and as he was so cool, we named him Steve (after the “King of Cool” McQueen!).

At three and a half years old, Steve had already been through three different shelters. We were gently warned he might be timid and take weeks to come out of his shell. Instead, the moment he found his forever home, he climbed straight onto our laps — all 75 pounds of him.

Today, Steve is a professional cuddler and a loving “lap dog” who believes everyone he meets is his new best friend. After a long journey, he finally found where he belonged.
