Tell us about your dog – how did they come to you, what are their favorites things to do, eat, play with, etc. (up to 200 words)
Zoey came to us as a rescue. She had been seriously abused, was emaciated, with injuries that needed time to heal . At our first meeting she gave a sniff or 2 then sat in my granddaughters lap. We figured she picked us. She was very timid at first. Now fully healed, at a proper weight, she is out of her shell, a playfully sweet tempered delight. I was severely injured in a accident shortly after we got her. We have discovered that she has a sense about her, when I am not feeling well she will not leave my side, even if that means being on the bed with me all day. She literally will place her paws on me trying to hold me. She’s great with other animals, and kids, and enjoys new people. Zoeys favorite thing is to go for walks. We are so very fortunate that she picked us, and grateful she’s part of our family.
