Your Dog's Story or Bio
Barbie & her brother, Ken, both Presa Canario Mastiffs, were running loose on the streets of Southeast DC in February, 2015, when Ken was hit by a car & suffered a broken leg. Barbie stayed by his side, in the street, until they were picked up & taken to the Washington Humane Society shelter. Their owner never claimed them, so I adopted Barbie in March, 2015, & Ken went to another wonderful home. Barbie has been THE BEST dog ever to our family for the past year...she has an amazing temperament, loves her people (and pretty much everyone else,) and lives for belly rubs! She is endlessly patient with our kids and with her young French Bulldog brother & sister! Barbie has become a very important member of our family, and we love her! Rescue dogs are the best!
