The Bips got off to a rough start in life. As a barn kitten, her humans put undiluted oregano oil in her ears to treat ear mites. While her sister did not survive the incident, Tippi has recovered beautifully after infection and surgery. She barely has any head tilt left these days. Still, she can't jump like a lot of other cats, but that doesn't stop her from living her best life in sun spots throughout our house.

She plays a feline-based brand of tennis which involves hugging her tennis ball (Penn) whilst rolling around on the carpet. Tippi has learned several tricks (for treats) including the high five, low five, fist bump, fireman's pole, besos (kisses), high bar, motorcycle stance and no hands. Her other hobbies include unsuccessfully trying to catch flies, obsessively licking her belly, and attempting to bury her litter box deposits by scratching the outside top of the litter box. She thinks that cardboard boxes are the greatest invention of all time and that her play tunnel is also a time machine.

Tippi has become fast friends with the outdoor neighbor cat who visits our back door on a regular basis, Ninja Kitty. Ninja Kitty tells Tippi stories of the world beyond our screen door and Tippi shares her treats and the occasional bit of wet cat food with her wild counterpart.

Tippi's mantra in life is, "gentle and peaceful." What she lacks in grace, she makes up for in kindness. She is much loved.
