When Lionel was 6-7 years old he was abandoned outside of Frederica Delaware, he had very little hair on his back because of Cushings - twenty-one days later I adopted him from the shelter. Lionel is well behaved and very sweet, I can not understand how anyone could abandon him. This year on Labor Day weekend a disc in his back herniated and he had surgery. His recovery is going very well, it helps that Lionel has the dachshund trait of being determined and stubborn.
