Please describe in detail how this nominee stands out among the other peer mentors in your program.
Tiara is an exemplary peer mentor. She fosters meaningful relationships with the Career Studies students, demonstrating patience and compassion when working with them. Tiara has the innate ability to adjust her level of support according to the students’ needs. In turn, she can bring out the best in each student. Her reliability is commendable. This semester Tiara accompanied students on job shadows and served as a job coach. She excelled in these roles, taking initiative and building students’ self-determination skills. Tiara truly deserves this award.
