Please describe in detail how this nominee stands out among the other peer mentors in your program.
Kaylee is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science program with the goal of immediately transitioning into the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Misericordia University. Kaylee has served as an Academic Coach for the Integrated Studies Program for one year (2 semesters), during which I have had the distinct pleasure of being her direct supervisor. Throughout my experiences with Kaylee, she has been a dependable, empathetic, professional leader and advocate. Kaylee demonstrates leadership and communication skills well beyond her age. She proactively communicates concerns and asks thoughtful questions that guide her development as an academic coach. She appropriately honors and respects the Integrated Studies students she works with and advocates for the program across the campus community. In addition, Kaylee is always a team player. She interacts positively and offers help to her peers in our monthly Integrated Studies meetings.
