Cecilia stands out among her peers as an exceptional mentor due to her unwavering commitment to student success, strong advocacy skills, and consistent professionalism. She has served as a Peer Job Coach with the PACE program for the past two years and will be graduating this spring, leaving behind a strong legacy of impact and dedication. She goes beyond simply supporting students in their roles, she actively fosters independence, confidence, and growth in each individual she works with. What truly distinguishes Cecila is her ability to advocate effectively for her students. In one instance, she supported a student through an uncomfortable situation at their job site with care, professionalism, and confidence, ensuring the student felt safe, respected, and heard. Her actions demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to dignity and inclusion in the workplace. Cecila is also highly dependable and detail-oriented. She consistently communicates clearly with supervisors and staff, completes all required documentation thoroughly and on time, and remains proactive in addressing student needs. Her reliability makes her a trusted and valued member of the team. Additionally, Cecila excels at teaching and coaching. She provides students with practical strategies, helpful tips, and encouragement that support skill development and independence on the job. She ensures that students are not only completing their tasks, but truly understanding them and building confidence in their abilities.
