Gertie Girl came into DRM through our rescue partners in the South. She was brought into the shelter unable to walk and severely emaciated. Her not being able to walk was most likely due to not getting the proper nutrition or food and being combined in a kennel too small for her. The good news is that she doesn't have any muscular or skeletal issues and with structured and continuous physical therapy she will regain the use of her legs. She is such a sweet girl and is just a love bug.
