Pet's Story
My husband died in Jan 2017. My MI daughter loaded up her 2 dogs, came down to FL & stayed with me to help me for a month get back on my feet. She had to get home because Delfy was pregnant with 11 puppies (we didn't know how many at the time, we just knew a lot more that 2 or 3). She said she had to get back home because she didn't have room for 2 big dogs and a bunch of puppies in her truck. A couple weeks later Sissy and her littermates were born. A few months later she asked be of I wanted Sissy. I was concerned because I already had a cat that had adopted me. I said yes because after researching I decided if they were raised together they would be fine. They were until Slingerland went over the rainbow bridge a few years later. That summer I made a trip up to MI and brought her home. It's just been Sissy and I ever since. She's my walking buddy and my protector. I can't imagine the last 8 years without her.
