Your Pet's Bio/Story
We adopted Andre almost 5 years ago from a rescue shelter and he was very thin, only 75 lbs, and very scraggly. He was a stray, found in south Texas and taken in by a foster family who thought he would do well in Denver. He came to Denver and was put up for adoption but he was about 2 years old, so no one would adopt him. Most people wanted a puppy. We had been looking for a mild mannered dog and one that fit our lifestyle as older adults. He was perfect, no pulling on walks, very gentle and loving. We brought him home and discovered a lot about Great Pyrs; how protective they are and loyal to their people. Through the right diet and exercise he gained back his weight to about 125 lbs. and has learned to sit and a few other tricks. He has made our family fans of the large breeds and we love him so much!
