Your Pet's Bio/Story
Hildie was adopted from DDFL as a special needs adoption as a 6 month old puppy in August 2008. She was terrified of the world, noises and people. When she started doing dog agility, she began to experience sheer joy for the first time in her life. In August 2016, she ruptured her CCL knee ligament. The surgeon did not think she was a good candidate for surgery rehab because of her special needs. A vet specialist made a custom cast knee brace for her, Thanks to her brace (now she wears 2), she is able to soar and leap and be as active as she ever was. This photo shows her joy-- flying ears and tail. For a dog who had such a terror of the world, Hildie has met so many challenges with courage and trust.
