Your Pet's Bio/Story
We brought our sheltie to the DFL to find a new buddy on April 1, 2017. He was lonely after losing his sister, a small Aussie girl. After visiting the Buddy Center, we went to the Denver shelter, and Obie met Chilly. They loved each other instantly. Chilly was 3 years old, having spent his entire life locked in a pen with his mother and brother. His mother is deaf: a double red Merle Aussie, so Chilly never barks. He is terrified of thunder, and never willingly leaves his Dad’s side, even when his Dad is playing drums. Chilly is a working dog, and loving Dad is his job. He loves his Mom, and rescue lab brother, but Dad and Chilly have a special bond.
