Your Pet's Bio/Story
Charlie was "dropped off" at our small orchard in Palisade, Colorado. We tried to find the owner by putting up signs in the area and at local pet stores. No response. My son had a brown lab Charlie's age, and his name was Jackson Brown, so we named him Charlie Brown, trying to encourage my son and his wife to take Charlie. The two dogs would argue over food, so they returned Charlie. Thank God. He was the greatest gift. At 14, he slowed, and one day, began having trouble breathing. Heart Cancer. The Vet told me we should put him down, but he was not in pain. We slept with him in the "Sun Room." He knew I could not let him go. So he struggled to get to the door, to go outside. I went to brush my teeth. When I turned around he was gone.
