Your Pet's Bio/Story
We adopted Shannon and his litter-mate brother Sterling when they were 5 weeks old. Shannon (after Shannon Sharpe) is a friendly, outgoing life of the party who is known for smiling like a human. There are no words to describe how Shabba, as we call him, has indelibly enhanced our lives over the last 13 years. We've dealt with many a change in his old age, including the recent loss of his beloved brother, Sterling. While his severe arthritis has significantly hampered his ability to walk and climb steps, we haven't let that stop him. He routinely joins our walks in the garden cart we retrofitted for him, accompanies us to his human brother's soccer and baseball games, and belongs to the local canine rehabilitation pool swim club, where each Sunday morning, he chases tennis balls -- red-life jacket and all.
