Your Pet's Bio/Story
Gigi was a rescue dog that I got at Colorado Correctional Institute (the Colorado prison system), She was sent to them as a puppy by another rescue organization. I fell in love with her from her picture on their web site but I had to wait three months to adopt her because she had undergone surgery for hip dysplasia by a volunteer veterinarian. It was well worth the wait. She was naive about a lot of things when I brought her home even though she was well socialized at the women's prison where she was the roommate of a very loving inmate. I'm sure the love and affection she received from her trainer is one reason she is so sweet and affectionate. She also was very well trained. She is the dearest dog I've ever had and she brings me joy every day. I love her so much.
