Dog's Story or Bio

My name is Orpheus Shoots but my friends call me “Schmoobilee” and I am a nine year old cancer survivor, bird lover and cat-about-town. In my free time I enjoy sleeping on my back, sleeping on my side and keeping a close eye on what the elderly people that live next door are getting up to. I enjoy having my belly trimmed, snacking and I have strong feelings about the music of Willie Nelson, mostly negative. I received a full body chunky scissor-cut during the pandemic and I did not enjoy it. My hobbies include laying on papers, beekeeping, rolling in dirt and drinking from the toilet (AKA: a Swirly Temple) Sitting with one foot in the air helps me achieve a state of intense relaxation. (I’ve done this since I was a kitten.) Strangers often mistake my raised paw for an attempt to ask a question. I am not asking a question, I’m simply flagging the waitress for another Colorado Kolsch. My favorite activity in Durango is leash-hiking the upper Hermosa Creek trail. I like the water. I like the way the meadows smell. I like chasing and eating bugs. The cows freak me out. Despite my distinguished and laid-back appearance, I once saved my cat brothers by chasing a large coyote from our yard. Please help me honor my cat dad’s favorite beer, Colorado Kolsch, by voting to place me on the label. Live long, sleep and prosper…Orpheus
