Rules

Submitting a photo to be included in the These Shoes Are Made For Serving Kids 2025 Photo Contest is free. You may submit as many photographs as you like, in as many of the five categories as you like.

To submit photos online, from the menu, click on PARTICIPATE - ENTER CONTEST and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your shoes. Online entries must be received by 12:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

All photos remain the property of the original contest entrant. However, entrants give permission to the Kiwanis Club of Mo-Ark eCentennial free use of the photos in post contest promotion on our website, social media and print media related to the contest.

• Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif
• Photos may contain one pair of shoes
• Photos must:
  • be in color or black and white
  • depict a specific category as defined below
  • be stills, not live pictures or video clips

Photographs of people or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene; for example, shoes representing discrimination, hate or any explicit content not in keeping with Kiwanis International standards as determined by the Officers and Board of the Kiwanis Club of Mo-Ark eCentennial will be removed immediately without warning.

Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).

Photographs must either feature shoes owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the shoe's owner to submit their shoe's image.


You may submit photos for the following five categories:

1. Elegant Are your shoes pleasingly graceful or stylish in appearance or manner? Show us a picture of elegance - this is your runway fashion opportunity!
   
   
2. Sporty Do your shoes feel the need for speed and sport? Show off your partners in training best expressing their athletic and active look!
   
   
3. Adventurous Are your shoes begging you to get outdoorsy? Do they look like they want to go horseback riding, build something or take a hike? If so, show us pictures of your adventurous shoes!
   
   
4. Relaxed Do your shoes love hanging out and chilling? Or do you go to the pool, beach or boat? Show us your casual friends! Note: this is where you can do that fun silhouette of your shoes with a glorious ocean scene or other background. Yes, we're looking at you Kiwanis Club of Aruba!
   
   
5. Creative Are your shoes never quite as good looking out of the box? Do you feel the need to apply your own personal touch? Show us your creativity!

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery on the 2025 These Shoes Are Made For Serving Kids Photo Contest website, and the photo will be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with no minimum.

All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.

To vote online, from the menu, click on PARTICIPATE – VIEW ENTRIES/VOTE. The online voting period will end 12:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Voting online will end as shown prominently on the 2025 These Shoes Are Made For Serving Kids Photo Contest website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser. Winners will be announced at the 2025 Missouri-Arkansas District Convention at a time to be determined in the late afternoon on August 9, 2025 VIA Facebook Live.

The photograph with the most votes in a given category at the time announced during the 2025 Missouri-Arkansas District Convention will win the prize as detailed in the Prizes section. The final vote tally will be as indicated at the end of the online voting fundraiser.

All votes are donations to the Kiwanis Club of Mo-Ark eCentennial and are not considered tax-deductible.


In the event of a tie, the name of each person with the highest votes will be placed in a "tie-breaker" box and a single name will be randomly selected. This random section of the top winner will take place at the 2025 Missouri-Arkansas District Convention in Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 9, 2025.

You are not required to attend the 2025 Missouri-Arkansas District Convention to win. Winner's names will be announced at the 2025 Missouri-Arkansas District Convention, and you must show a photo ID in order to receive your prize. Winners not present will be notified via e-mail or regular mail and prizes can be mailed to the winner (US address only) upon request.

Prizes must be claimed by September 30, 2025. Unclaimed prizes will be repurposed by the Mo-Ark eCentennial Kiwanis Club for future events.


1^st Place - $25 gift card, trophy and certificate
There will be a total of five 1^st Place prizes given, one for each category.

The 1^st Place winners will also receive a trophy and certificate customized to their winning category.

2^nd Place - trophy and certificate
There will be a total of five 2^nd Place prizes given, one for each category.

The 2^nd Place winners will receive a trophy and certificate customized to their winning category.

Grand Prize – $25 gift card
The Grand Prize winner is for the person receiving the highest votes on a single photo submitted, regardless of category.
