Pet's Story
Boogie was found abandoned with a chain grown into his neck. He was suffering from allergies and was heart worm positive when I met him over a year and a half ago. He has since successfully overcome his heart worms, and has been introduced to the good life. He now spends his days exploring Austin’s trails, accompanying me to the barn, and snuggling on the couch. Boogie has an affinity for all things fluffy/soft and is beginning to learn to play fetch. He is still shy around strangers, so people often are fearful of him, but he is truly one of the most loving and affectionate dogs I know. He is my once in a lifetime, “soul-dog.”

What Emancipet means to you and your pet
I hadn’t been looking to adopt a dog when Boogie found me, so when I found out he was heart worm positive, I was overwhelmed by the costs I’d be facing for treatment. A friend recommended I look into Emancipet, and I am so glad she did. Emancipet made treatment affordable and gave me all the information I needed for successful recovery. Emancipet alleviated a huge amount of stress. I continue to return to Emancipet because I have been so impressed by the doctors and staff. I don’t know where Boogie and I would be without Emancipet!
