Pet's Story
When he was just a year and a half old, Stormy was found tied to a street post during Hurricane Katrina (you can probably guess how he came by his name). We adopted him from Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue shortly thereafter, brought him to Austin, and he has spent all subsequent rainy days curled up on the couch or our bed.

Last winter, Stormy became less interested in the crunchy treats that he normally devoured and his breath made a sudden turn for the worse. He had had a dental cleaning and a few extractions at a full service vet two years ago and we weren’t sure how we were going to afford another procedure that’s typically in the four-digit price range.

We brought him to Emancipet and he received a thorough cleaning and a few more extractions for about a quarter of the price we would have spent at our regular vet. He’s back to crunching carrots, flashing his pearly whites (the ones he has left!), and singing the unmistakable song of his people.
