My Story
My name is Atlas Gibson. I am 3 1/2 years old. My best friend is my big sister, Aurora. I love her so much. We are inseparable. I love playing with legos and I can build so many things. I can say my ABC’s and my favorite Disney characters are Buzz and Woody! I am a happy go lucky boy and you’d never know anything had happened to me unless you see the scar on my chest. When my mommy was five months pregnant with me, I was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. While my mommy was pregnant, the wonderful surgeons at Children’s Hospital planned my surgeries for when I was delivered. When I was 3 days old, I had my first surgery. I was in the hospital for a long time before I got to come home and meet my whole family. Because the pandemic was happening, I could only visit my family members over video calls. I had my second surgery at 4 months old. They are planning my third surgery for when I am 4 or 5 years old. My mommy and daddy want to plan a Disney vacation for after my next surgery.
