My Story
Harry was born in August of 2024, a beautiful and perfect little boy. The nurses immediately noticed a heart murmur and after a day of testing and observation he was transferred to another hospital where it was discovered that he had Aortic Valve Stenosis. He was then transferred to MUSC where he underwent open heart surgery a few days later. His first week of life was one of joy and grief, of immense gratitude and terrible fear. After surgery, he recovered quickly and beautifully. We were able to bring our little boy home after one month, only to return a month later for a follow up procedure. Throughout it all he has shown so much resilience and strength. He is a joyful and determined child and he is surrounded by so much love. The Lord has been so gracious and faithful to Harry and to all of us as we walk this road with our son. While his struggles are not over, the Lord has sustained him and provided for him in overwhelming ways and we have faith that he will continue to do so. In the meantime, we are so grateful for the amazing little life we have been blessed to call ours.
