My Story
A’miya Elise was born on Saturday, March 6, 2021, weighing 3 lbs. 7 oz. She was born early and was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, pulmonic valve stenosis, Bicuspid aortic valve, Dandy walker malformation, Chronic Respiratory Failure with hypoxia and hypercapnia, Chronic combined systolic and diastolic congestive heart failure, chronic lung disorder, Hypoxemia requiring supplemental oxygen, Secondary Hypertension, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, mixed receptive-expressive language disorder and a slew of other chronic illnesses. Sadly at 4 months old A’miya was sent home to pass away. A’miya suffered from so many life threatening illnesses that doctors found it nearly impossible for her to survive. Nobody but My God I tell you! A’miya Elise is 3 years of age today and is defying every odd stacked against her. She doesn’t require any oxygen in which she was winged off at 1 years of age and if we didn’t know what she was born with, you wouldn’t even know she has a heart condition at all. God gave us strength and He persevered on so many levels in sparing Amiya’s life. And although life can still be a little trying sometimes she is definitely a Heart Warrior and #BeastingTrisomy18 💪🏾❤️ We’re looking forward to taking A’miya on her first official trip this year to have some fun 🥰
