My Story
Henry’s journey is one of strength, resilience, and joy. Born with a congenital heart defect, Henry faced unimaginable challenges before most babies even learn to smile. In his first year of life, he endured three open-heart surgeries. Each procedure was a reminder of how fragile life can be and how fiercely determined one little boy could be to live it fully.
From the beginning, Henry amazed us all. Despite countless hospital stays, wires, monitors, and sleepless nights, his bright eyes and contagious laugh brought hope to everyone around him. His strength wasn’t just physical it was in the way he smiled at nurses, giggled during recovery, and held tightly to his mama’s hand, showing a heart full of courage.
Now almost three, Henry is full of life. He loves the outdoors, splashing in water, digging in the dirt, and doing “all things boy.” He runs, plays, and loves with a heart that’s been through more than most will ever know. His scars tell a story, not of pain, but of perseverance and grace.
To know Henry is to know what it means to be brave. He is proof that miracles happen, that joy can grow from struggle, and that the strongest hearts are often the ones that had to fight the hardest to beat.
He may be little, but he is mighty. And to his mama, he’s everything.
