My Story
At my 20-week scan, Doctors found out I had a Transposition of Great Arteries Heart defeat issue and said you must be moved at Shawn Jenkins Children's hospital MUSC Charleston. In October 2023 Our life took a turn for the worst. Our son Gaurang was born on October 24 2023. At this time I was too small, 6 lbs within a few ours first ballon surgery successfully done. We prayed, we cried & most importantly trusted God. October 30 2023. I went to the OR for my first open heart surgery (TGA) where I received at MUSC Charleston. The surgery normally takes 6-8 hours, but for me 13 hours long. Operation successfully done. We believed in the doctors and their decisions as we prayed for them daily. Gaurang brought so much love, sunshine, and strength to not only us but to everyone that seen him. But two weeks of still no full recovery, prayers and constant reminder that God was taking care of Gaurang, us, and everyone around us.The God called him home on end of the November 2023. He is a heart warrior and fought his fight. Now he is free with a new heart, no wires, no medicine and no oxygen. His story will last forever. His love will continue. We thank everyone including Emerson Rose for bringing us comfort and peace. We thank MUSC doctors team and nursing staff they did a great and outstanding job like their kids.
