My Story
Blair was born in May 2019 as a seemingly healthy newborn. It wasn’t until she was 7 days old we noticed she was in respiratory distress and took her to the ER. That is where we discovered she had Coarctation of the Aorta and needed to have open heart surgery. Wow talk about a shocker! Her first plane ride was to MUSC! She had open heart surgery at 14 days old. Since then we have discovered that she has a Bicuspid Aortic value but it is functioning normally.

Since her surgery day in May 2019 she has been doing great. CHD does not define her but will always be apart of her story!

We appreciate everything Emerson Heart Rose has done for our family as well as all other families in the CHD community!
