My Story
Hey my name is Austynn , I was a healthy baby girl until my first doctor appointment after being born March 10th 2020 . I was diagnosed with Chd. (congenital heart defect ).The doctors wanted to square it away before I reached grade school age 5. Then I will start having complications.
After months and years past and I finally reached the aged 4 , my mom got the call that the doctors over in Charleston were ready to proceed with my open heart surgery. I’ve gotten very sick round this time and my body became weaker.
November 2020 , A week before surgery , I caught pneumonia. This was a couple days before Thanksgiving and my surgery was 1 week before my mom birthday. Many people and church family gathered in my community and prayed for me . I had the strength to push through and keep fighting .
My mom and family was there every step & I wasn’t alone . I remember my mom praying for me. She prayed for me all that day . Surgery lasted 2 1/2 hours , which was supposed to last 6 hours. I’m thankful, We’re So Thankful for everyone support. I’m here today better than ever, stronger than ever and braver than ever before. This school year starts July 29th and this warrior is ready. Kindergarten here I come!
