What makes your pet special?
I adopted Steven (Or as we like to call him Puppyman) 9 years ago after he had made many trips back to the shelter and in his last trip was labeled "aggressive with children" so he was taken in by a no kill shelter with the intent of staying indefinitely. When I met Steven I just knew he was my dog! He was my best friend and protector immediately. And, years later when I had nieces and nephews Steven had his chance to prove his ability with kids - not only is he great with them, he sees himself as their protector too!
Bella was also a rescue of sorts - her family was moving to Germany and she was looking at making the trip under a plane, at the end of the summer, to Germany (which many dogs don't do well with). Once there she would be kenneled alot as her family had to travel. I met Bella by chance and again knew it was meant to be! She has been my sidekick ever since...Steven is a very low maintenance dog but Bella needs my attention constantly - thus earning the name Princess - but she has not only loved me and family deeper than any pet ever has, she has also taught me how to put the needs of someone else before my own - my Princess gets every bit of my attention now, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
