Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Thor from another owner who lived in south Georgia. She lived alone and he was alone while she worked each day. As he grew from a pup this became an issue. The original owner found out her sister had cancer and therefore she would need to leave him alone on weekends too. She posted on FB that she needed to find Thor a home. My Aunt Ellie knew the owner and shared the post on FB. Bart and I had been talking about getting a large dog preferably a lab. We were happy to get one from a friend of a friend and arranged to meet my aunt in Atlanta the following week. Bart loved the name he already had of Thor. It was a name he loved growing up for animals and we have already owned one cat named Thor. It was meant to be. Thor seemed small to us after we got him because we had had our grand dog Jack, a yellow lab, living with us the year before. Jack was over 100 lbs. and Thor was around 60 lbs. when we first saw him. Thor is now 80 lbs. and still growing. Thor will be two in August of 2015. His unique name grew on him as he jumps straight up all the time hence Iggy Pop! Please vote for him and support the EVHS.
