I didn’t want a dog and I certainly wouldn’t have picked a Pitt of any sort. Suddenly, I had an urge for a dog and my wife sent me a picture from Etowah Valley Humane Society of a beautiful Pitt/Lab mix. I visited the EVHS and walked into their boarding area. Beach was the name given her by the society and she stood in the cage looking at me quietly as the other dogs barked. I let her out and about the same time some dogs from a different cage got loose and all the dogs went nuts. Beach quietly propped on my leg and hugged me. She stole my heart. We took her home and she has become the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Part of the family. She has learned obedience, respect for our home and any place we go (which is most places). She loves walks and her cuddle time on the couch. She’s extremely gentle to a point that a young girl with autism and afraid of dogs petted her first dog - Beach - while her mom was amazed.
