Larry came to us two years ago from Atlanta Lab Rescue. He first landed in a shelter in 2019 as a stray, adopted several days later. He spent the next three years in a loving home until returned to the shelter in 2022 because his human went into a nursing home.

His sweet sad face showed up in my newsfeed on a Saturday with an urgent plea for a foster. I contacted the rescue and told them I could pick him up immediately. I met the transporter the next day - Easter Sunday - and brought him home.

Larry is a very passive boy, and he was not thriving in the shelter environment, so he was skin and bones when we picked him up. Look at this strong, handsome boy now!

Within less than a week, Larry was officially a foster fail and I can't imagine life without him.
