Pet's Story or Bio
Kavik was found running about near HWY 218 South of I-80. This beautiful boy was adopted by Rush Shortley soon after he was brought to the center. He has matured from a dedicated escape artist to a loving home body. He loves his daily walks and weekly trips to Hickory Hill Park, where he explores every tree, bush and blade of grass. He is especially alert to squirrels, chipmunks and white tailed deer and reluctantly obeys the tug of the leash to remain just an observer. His exuberance for life is a constant inspiration to his human companions.
