We first saw Lela at the shelter on a day when our foster kittens were being sent north to their new homes. Her sweet demeanor and sad eyes haunted us all weekend. She had been found in a parking lot at the Dollar General in Marion. Once we knew she was a fit with our dog Mayer, we brought her home. She is so much the rotten little sister to him, trying to steal all the attention. She demands butt and belly rubs by sticking her butt in the air with her head on the floor.
