Crane Beach is known for its beautiful stretch of coastline, but I have especially fallen in love with the dunes that abut the beach. I was hiking through the dunes on a chilly late fall afternoon with my camera and was captivated by the rising moon as it peaked over the dunes. It was a fortuitous instance of being in the right place at the right time. The dunes are a special place for me, and contain a diversity of unique wildlife.
