This was taken while I was hiking through Boxford State Forest on a dreary day. The atmosphere felt contemplative and a bit spooky. There is some history in this area of women accused of witchcraft in the 1600's hiding from their accusers. These dead trees arose from the marsh in an otherwordly manner, adding to the mystery.
