Photograph DescriptionI took this photograph off the shore of Eastern Greenland, where towering icebergs detach from glaciers and drift in the North Atlantic. We approached this shapely iceberg on a zodiac boat on an overcast day, which wrapped the iceberg in soft, diffuse light. This offered an opportunity for a study in shape, pattern and texture: I processed the image in black and white to further distill and accentuate its graphic, geometric elements.
