Photograph DescriptionI took this photograph in Eastern Greenland, where towering icebergs detach from glaciers and drift in the North Atlantic. When I was passing by this massive iceberg the sun briefly peeked out of the cloud cover and lit a face of the iceberg, leaving the mountains and glacier in the background in the shade, wrapped in stormy clouds. I love this shot because it tells the story about icebergs, the glaciers they separate from and the sea they float in. I processed the image in B&W as a study of light, contrast, texture and shape.
