Photograph Description
My "real" camera is in the shop, but I made do with taking a hundred or so images of the buddha my grandparents brought back to the US from Japan in the 1950s. It was passed down to my parents, who had it right outside the bay window so we could see it everyday. Now my parents are both deceased, and photographing the sculpture every day, seated in the midst of flowers in different stages of blooming, evokes for me the presence of my ancestors.
