Photograph DescriptionI hiked deep into the Tularosa Basin for this shot. It took me three days to evaluate light and position to capture the shadows and highlights of this dune. With no footprints or markings, this sand is evident of untouched ground, making me the first person to "land" here. It was an exhilarating experience - I felt like I was on the moon.
